Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Brookland Performance respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email, phone number, the training you're interested in, your goals and what's holding you back, preferred location and times, how you heard about us, and any injury information you choose to share (including areas you select on the body map).
- Clients: information needed to train you safely, such as health and injury history, emergency contact details, training progress and session bookings.
- Website: basic, non-identifying technical information needed to run the site securely.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange your first session.
- To design and deliver safe, effective training.
- To manage bookings, payments and communication with you.
We only collect what we need, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
How we store and protect it
Your information is stored securely using trusted service providers, including a secure cloud database hosted in Australia and an email delivery service used to send you messages about your enquiry or training. These providers only process your information on our behalf. We take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where needed to deliver your training (for example, booking and coaching software), where you've agreed (for example, with your physio or GP), or where required by law.
How long we keep it
Enquiry information that doesn't lead to training is deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
